Cambridge MPhil in Environmental Policy successful personal statement (Department of Land Economy). I'm from the most recent graduating class, so it's as up-to-date as you can get. There are a few redactions to protect my privacy but other than that it's exactly as I submitted it.
The MPhil in Environmental Policy is a very popular degree and also very competitive. In 2022 there were approx 350 applicants and only 20 places (5.7% offer rate). However, it's helpful for basically any MPhil or master's course at Cambridge (or Oxford), given that they're all looking for essentially the same thing in terms of structure, motivations, why you're interested in the degree, how it will benefit your career, etc.
